Career Minded
Career Speakers Wanted for Las Lomas College/Career Center
 
The College/Career Center at Las Lomas is organizing a Friday lunchtime speaker series for the students to learn about different careers. Local business people with interesting backgrounds are needed to share their experiences with the students. Speakers from the following careers are especially wanted: veterinary medicine, dentistry, physical therapy and/or personal training, restauranteur/chef, and the arts (dance, music, theater, etc.).  If you have a background that would be of interest to the students, and some spare time on a Friday, please email series coordinator Aimee Moss at [email protected]. Speakers will be asked to talk for 20 minutes, followed by a brief Q&A time. Talking points will be provided.

With more than 50 projects to choose from, Community Service Day 2018 offers something for all ages, all interests, and all skill levels. You can download a summary  Project Catalog, or visit the  online registration pages for complete details. 

Start the Day with pancakes and a t-shirt!  Join us at Heather Farm Community Center at 7:30 a.m. for a free pancake breakfast, cooked by our local Lions clubs. If you come to the breakfast, you get a free, commemorative t-shirt, too!
