Advent Kids Choir

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

One of the great traditions we have at Double Oak is celebrating the birth of Jesus through our Sunday morning Christmas services. The kids from both campuses will rehearse together on Wednesday, November 7 and Wednesday, November 14 to learn the music. Rehearsal will be held in the Kids Worship Room from 6:00-7:00 PM.

Mt Laurel Campus - Kids Sing on Sunday, December 2

There will be an extra rehearsal on Wednesday night, November 28 so that we can rehearse the candlelight procession. It will be important for your child to attend rehearsal in order to participate.

Chelsea Campus - Kids Sing on Sunday, December 16

There will be an extra rehearsal on Sunday morning, December 16th at 9:30 AM so that we can rehearse the candlelight procession. It will be important for your child to attend rehearsals in order to participate.

Bible Skills Update

Our November Bible Memory Verse is Psalm 9:2 (KG) and Psalm 95:6 (1st-5th grades). You may want to help your child practice this verse at home. Let's work together to help our kids memorize scripture each month.

We will be continuing our Bible Skills this month. Please help your child practice their skills at home. They will be able to "check off" their October skills on November 11th. We will be working toward everyone knowing all their Bible Skills and Unit Bible Verses by April.

Kindergarten - Unit Bible Verse (Psalm 9:2)
1st Grade - Pronounce (Read) the Old Testament Books and Unit Bible Verse (Psalm 95:6)
2nd Grade - Pronounce (Read) All the Books of the Bible and Unit Bible Verse (Psalm 95:6)
3rd Grade - Identify if a Book is in the Old or New Testament, Name the Divisions of the Old Testament, and Unit Bible Verse (Psalm 95:6)
4th Grade - Identify if a Book is in the Old or New Testament, Name the Divisions of the Old Testament, and Unit Bible Verse (Psalm 95:6)
5th Grade - Know the Divisions of Both Old and New Testament, Locate All the Books of the Bible, and Unit Bible Verse (Psalm 95:6)
