Open Enrollment is  Upon Us!
Your 2019 Open Enrollment packet will arrive by United States Postal Service mail to your home shortly and it's not too soon to begin thinking about any potential changes you would like to make for the upcoming year.  The University of Maine System benefits provided to you as an employee and to your family are a significant part of your total compensation package, so we encourage you to take the time to review the material contained in this special edition and in your packet in preparation for the Open Enrollment period running November 1, 2018 to midnight, November 25, 2018.

There is a lot of information available about your UMS employee benefits and more than a few considerations to keep in mind when thinking about Open Enrollment 2019.  Here is a handy highlight guide to help get you organized and in position to make the most of this once-a-year opportunity.

What's Your Plan?
Did you know benefits can vary depending upon the collective bargaining unit, (CBU) to which you belong? Start by checking the benefits available to you and review your agreement. 

When was the last time you navigated through MaineStreet? Knowing your way around the employee self-service portal is an important part of Open Enrollment for 2019. 
How much do you know about all of your insurance options? Vision and dental coverages are an important part of your overall benefit plan too and it's never a bad idea to review all they have to offer in mapping your approach for the coming year.
As a member of the UMS Retirement Plan, you have the opportunity to elect a new Roth contribution feature. Interested to learn more?
Your University of Maine System Wellness Program is not a choice  to make by November 25, but there are some valuable opportunities to keep in mind for December!

Not too Late for Level Two
The deadline for completing the Level Two Wellness incentive and earning a cash premium is November 30, 2018. There's still time. For more information, please visit your 2018 Wellness Guide.
 
Your comfort and confidence in completing the important Open Enrollment process is a top priority for your University of Maine System Human Resources Team.
