Cypress Creek High School

Every day, I am moved and inspired by what I see on our campus. Every day, I marvel at the incredible devotion of our educators and their unique ability to teach and inspire their students. Every day, I admire the community work our teachers and students put forth in service to others (we have examples of this in every one of these issues). And every day, I respect the fine work done by our support personnel, bus drivers, cafe staff, custodial team, security team, health clinic, and media center - all vital components that make Cypress Creek High School a success. I am also very appreciative for the time investment made by community volunteers that help us through groups like our School Advisory Council.

This is a wonderful time of the year to get together with friends and family to celebrate and be thankful for all the wonderful people in our lives. On behalf of the CCHS administration, I would like to thank you for your continued support and wish you a safe and happy holiday. We will see everyone back here on Monday, November 26th.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING BEARS!

Teacher Spotlight
Ms. Foster-Hennighan, Science

Congratulations to Ms. Shari Foster-Hennighan for winning The Duke Energy, Math, Science & Energy Education Impact Grant presented by The Foundation for Orange County Public Schools.  Ms. Foster-Hennighan plans to use the grant towards STEM laboratory activities related to human anatomy and physiology. The STEM prosthetic arm activity will allow students to design and test the mechanisms of an arm to throw a ball on an online platform, and then create their model to test in real time. The STEM circulatory system activity will enable students to construct their own working model of the circulatory system, and test it with fake blood. We are so proud of you Ms. Foster-Hennighan! #GoBears

Bears Serving the Community
National Honor Society actively supported the 2018 American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Thank you NHS!

Our NHS Bears helped to raise money for cancer research by selling fried Oreos and funnel cakes as well as having Twister tournaments during this year's special Relay for Life event. While raising money, they also supported other teams that same day by participating in their activities. NHS also participated in the Luminaria Walk later in the evening to honor those who have passed of cancer.
