The theme of this year's annual Laws of Life essay and speech contest was kindness, and the topic posed was this: Think about how kindness assists one in creating and sustaining a community. Explain how you, someone you know, or a historical figure has exemplified kindness.
The following students’ essays were selected by a panel of three teachers to be one of the five "school-level" finalists for grades 6-8, and these top five essays have been submitted to be judged at the next level. The written essays will be judged between Nov. 28 - Dec. 9, and the announcement of the top 10 semi-finalists in each division will be announced on December 13.
Keyshawn Davis – Gr. 8, Ricky Garcia – Gr. 7, Eva Lopez – Grade 7, Ashley Summers – Gr. 6, and Lucy Lorenzo – Gr. 6.
There were many wonderful essays to choose from, and picking the top five wasn't easy. Congratulations to these students for this achievement!
