Check out electric trainset #1 running at corridor speed (79 mph) and above at the Transportation Technology Center, Inc. in Pueblo, Colo. These high-performance trains can accelerate and decelerate more quickly than diesel-powered trains, enabling more frequent and faster service to more riders.

Over 300 Bicycle eLockers at Stations
Caltrain has one of the most extensive onboard bicycle programs among passenger railroads in the nation. Bikes are an excellent first and last mile solution, and riders who use bicycles to access Caltrain help reduce pollution and relieve congestion. May 21 was Bike to Wherever Day and Caltrain continued its commitment to bicycles with the installation of more on-demand electronic bike lockers. Over 300 eLocker spaces are now available at 18 stations across the corridor. The eLocker rate is 5 cents per hour, with nights and weekends costing 2 cents per hour. For eLocker access information visitwww.bikelink.org/get_access.
Grade Crossing Improvements
Caltrain, in cooperation with the cities of San Mateo and Menlo Park, is improving safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles at five grade crossings (intersections where train tracks cross a street). Each crossing will receive pavement markers and a concrete median with flexible bollards designed to prevent motorists from driving around lowered gates. New paint striping and lettering will also more clearly-mark the pedestrian crossings. For more information visit www.caltrain.com/GCImprovements.
