A top Empower question answered here
Empower is being used in nearly 200 clas srooms across the district and at all grade levels .   You can review helpful (and short) videos on using  this online tool at eccs.mn/empower. Empower helps teachers   and students communicate about progress in learning academic standards. We've listened to parent and student feedback and started this school year with an all-new user inte rface. As we continue to hear from users, here is an answer to one of the most common questions:
Question: If a letter grade appears in red, what does it mean?  Answer: Your student has at least one Power Standard below the basic level. This means the student needs to review the Power Standard and talk with their teacher.
Task force looks to district's future, including 2019 referendum
Beginning in October, a task force began reviewing information from facility and enrollment studies conducted by the district in early 2018. The group will prioritize needs for essential school maintenance  and new construction required to match projected enrollment growth. In early 2019, the task force will make recommendations to the school board. In the spring, the board will go through the process to decide what to ask of the public in a referendum in November 2019.
