AriSEIA Action Updates
Important Call to Action Regarding PURPA:
On Nov. 26th, an administrative law judge issued a recommendation that would be a huge setback for independent solar producers looking to add more solar to Arizona’s grid under PURPA.  It is vital that the Commissioners hear our comments against this terrible proposal. Please call and email all five Commissioners ( contact information here ), and everyone who is available should plan to attend the ACC meeting in person on Dec. 10th beginning at 10 a.m. View more meeting details here . Click here to read AriSEIA’s statement.

SRP Battery Updates and Board Elections:
This month, SRP announced plans to boost their solar power battery storage by 340 megawatts.  Click here  to hear Brandon Cheshire discuss what this means for Arizona energy on KJZZ’s The Show. Additionally, SRP will hold Board Elections on April 7, 2020.  Click here  to fill out an electronic form to request a ballot.  Click here  for more SRP election information.

APS General Rate Case:
AriSEIA is currently forming a steering committee for the APS General Rate Case intervention, and we are looking for companies and interested parties to participate. Please call or email AriSEIA President Brandon Cheshire with any questions or concerns.

Joint Stakeholder Proposal for New Energy Rules:
We now have 30 stakeholders working to move the   Joint Stakeholder Proposal for New Energy Rules  forward! The Just Transition language included in  the proposal  is especially relevant in light of the news of  NGS officially shutting down . This just transition support would help ensure that a low-carbon economy will not devastate communities whose economies are driven by conventional power sources. Stay tuned for more updates!
