BEAR AWARENESS
~ by Ajahn Brahm
Brahm answers actual questions from his meditation students––questions you may have had as well. By teaching “bear awareness” he helps us make friends with the scary things that come up on the cushion, and he knows how to lift the mood with a well-placed stuffed teddy––or a well-timed pun.

Thanks go out this week to Anna Peppard for consistently volunteering for the Front Desk Position. Anna comes to the Center two times per week to answer the phone and greet visitors. This helps our office staff focus on their tasks at hand and provides our guests with a happy warm greeting. Thank you Anna for adding a little sunshine to our days!

Denise Flora led last Sunday and talked about gratitude to prepare us for Thanksgiving. Reflecting on my own gratitude, words don't fit for how fortunate it feels to have a loving community to rely on. "Our happiness goes up and down like an elevator," Denise said in a poem to the children. It's good to know all of you are present when the elevator goes below the basement.
ps. sending love,
Jill
