Giving Tuesday 2018
Giving Tuesday is November 27th. We're proud to be a part of this global day of giving. Our goal is to raise a total of $2,500, which will cover the cost of one student to attend Breakthrough for an entire summer. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for ways to contribute to this great cause!

Introducing our
2018-2019 School Year Teachers
We are excited to introduce our group of high school juniors and seniors hired for our school-year teachers, tutors and mentors. This talented group will be working with our middle school Breakthrough students and will have the following opportunities:

  • Teach once-a-month Saturday sessions and attend trainings
  • Learn how to teach effectively by creating and presenting dynamic lesson plans
  • Build meaningful advising and mentoring relationships with students that last throughout the year

This is a great opportunity to build leadership skills and experience first-hand teaching your own classroom.
1st Super Saturday of 2018-2019
Deb McLoud, Breakthrough's new Executive Director, welcomes all students as they arrive for the first Super Saturday of the school year.

Students attend five Super Saturdays throughout the school year to continue with academic enrichment and advising.
This week's Super Saturday academics included Bottle Density, Intro to Chinese, Study Skills and 5 Word Sentences.
