On Tuesday, May 28, Kat worked with the Roundtable UN Committee to complete the Quadrennial Report which was submitted on Friday, May 31. This report is a snapshot of all of the work being done by the Roundtable, and its member parishes and dioceses, in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Last Wednesday, Jayna had a conference call with a prospective Global Solidarity Ambassador. We are still recruiting ambassadors from parishes across the Archdiocese. If you are interested in learning more about this program,

While Jayna was on her conference call, Kat was working on an archdiocesan Laudato Si’ Sustainability Plan, including grant funded Sustainability Coordinator and Sustainability Intern positions, to help us as we continue to implement the Laudato Si’ Action Plan four years in.
Last Thursday, Kat attended the annual Eucharistic Congress Steering Committee luncheon.
On Monday, Jayna started her next class in the Social Justice Certificate program at University of Dayton. Her current five-week module is Poverty in the U.S. and Around the World.
Our new CCHD intern, Keneechi Obasi, also started on Monday. She will be with us full time until the end of June, when she starts her
next
internship for the summer! Keneechi is a senior at Spelman College, majoring in International Studies and minoring in Public Health. She is also an active member of the Lyke House ministry team.
Kat and Frank Mulcahy attended the International Human Trafficking Institute Ambassador quarterly meeting on Tuesday evening. Kat was asked to speak about the work being done by the Archdiocese of Atlanta and both received Certificates of Appreciation for the work we are doing.
On Wednesday morning, Jayna met with staff in the Office of Vocations to discuss the participation of our Archdiocesan seminarians at Starve Wars. Registration is still open and donations are accepted even if you cannot come pack meals with us!

Also that morning, Kat had a Diaconate Formation Advisory Committee meeting. As we have mentioned before, Kat serves on this committee to help the men in formation for the diaconate fulfill the social justice ministry requirements of their formation.
In the afternoon, Kat continued her work with IHTI focusing on a 30 minute human trafficking presentation By Men-For Men that encourages men to hold each other accountable. This is part of a collaborative effort with Respect Life Ministry and the Office of Formation and Discipleship that also includes information on pornography and healthy sexuality.
Meanwhile, Jayna participated in the Refugee Integration and Religion webinar hosted by Princeton University and the USCCB's Migration & Refugee Services. We will share the permanent link to the webinar in our next newsletter!
Yesterday Kat met with the Stewardship office to discuss the marketing plans for both the CCHD and CRS national second collections.
