News
Jesus Christ is the same
yesterday and today and forever!

Our children are not the same as they were when school started way back in August.  Like me, you are probably thinking, "how has this time flown?!"  Here is a glimpse into my own "parent's heart":  My son has new friends and remains in contact with those from our last school.  He has grown three inches since August but has yet to have his "big" growth spurt, according to the doctor.  He has felt more confident in himself thanks to relationships he is developing and thanks to God's grace which is at work in him by the power of the Holy Spirit.  He has shifted from playing the trombone into playing the tuba...he apparently likes the 'bass clef'.  He has gone from wondering how he can lead a team to doing so.  He has grown in so many ways because of his life here at Zion.

As a parent, I thank God for His provision for my son through the people of Zion.  You have been such a blessing to our family as you have welcomed us, sent encouraging notes and messages, given advice and suggestions, and understood when things sometimes didn't go as expected.  Thank you for a year of growth, change, and blessing.  Be well this summer!  Please don't be a stranger.

In Jesus,
Krista Nagy, Principal (Mama)

CONGRATULATIONS TO ECEC GRADUATES!!

Kat in ManHATtan
Kat Benne, Middle School Teacher & Mentor to Many, is headed to ManHATtan.  She is the Kat in the ManHATtan.  "Big deal!" you say?   She is headed to the Teachers College of Columbia University for the Summer Institute on Writing Workshop.  She will be working with a team and learning from children's writing experts from all around the world to learn the best ways to instruct, support, and grow our student writers.  She will return to mentor and train our faculty and staff.   While Mrs. Nagy has also received training in this method from the Teachers College, she is not actively in the classroom using this approach.  She will compliment Kat's "coaching" of her colleagues.

Help us to get Kat to ManHATtan by giving a gift through our
GoFundMe page:

Share our Zion Facebook post about this with friends and others you think would like to give.  Any amount will do.  Let's go, Lions!
