Whitehead Competes in NXR Southwest Regional 

On Saturday, Junior Adam Whitehead ran in the NXR Cross Country Regional at Grande Sports World. Whitehead took on the challenge of running in the Championship race, versus top competition from Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. He competed against some of the top high school runners in the nation, with the race winner clocking in at an amazing 14:36 over 5k. Adam came in at 16:01, just 5 seconds off his PR, and finished in 104th place. Out of all of the Arizona runners in the championship race, Whitehead finsihed 10th- quite an accomplishment!  Helaman Forsyth, Jaden Schneider, and Wes Lannuier competed in the small schools race. Lannuier ran an 18:57, Forsyth clocked in at 19:57, and Schneider at 25:14.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Fall Sports Awards a success on Friday night! It was great to see the Charger Community come together to reflect on some great things going on in our programs. A special thank you to Joy Whitehead who was responsible for the food, refreshments, decorations, and so much more!

Charger Football Players Earn 1A All East Region Recognition:

The Chargers are well represented on the AZFCA 1A East All Region teams, which were announced last week. The 1A East Region featured the two state finalists, with Superior claiming the title over Hayden 70-20. It was a historical season for the Chargers (7-3, State Quarterfinals), and the following players were recognized for their outstanding seasons:

1,687 total yards, 90 carries 873 yards 12 TD's, 28 rec. 565 yards 8 TD's

59 rec. 1,023 yards, 102.3 yds/game, 17.3 yds per catch, 10 TD's

68 tackles, 14 TFL, 11 sacks

43 tackles, 3 INT
