Thanksgiving Cornucopia

The cornucopia arrangement this Sunday will be provided by Laurie Hasty and Benson Gray and the Portland Food Coop. The food will be donated to First Parish’s Community Dinner program.  Parishioners are invited to bring additional food donations (non-perishables and freshly baked items) to church on 11/18, 11/25 & 12/2-- donations will be collected in baskets at the entrance to the Meeting House.

Shamanic Journeying
for Healing and Transformation

Gerald Dickens Performs
"A Christmas Carol"

Maine Historical Society is pleased to offer a special performance of Charles Dickens’  A Christmas Carol , performed by Dickens’ great-great-grandson, Gerald Dickens. This one-man show is inspired by the 1860s performances by Charles Dickens. Tickets- 207-774-1822 or visit mainehistory.org . Joys and Sorrows Circle

The Pastoral Care team is offering an alternative method of experiencing Joys and Sorrows through these listening circles . Open to all to create space for sharing our largest griefs and greatest joys. Length of the circle determined by the level of interest. There will be no discussion during the sharing circle.  
Breathing and Meditation Class
Wednesdays | 5:30-6:30pm
in the K-1 Classroom
 (upstairs in Parish House)

Come and explore breathing techniques to nurture your mind, body and spirit. Pranayama (increase and extension of the life force) is an ancient practice from India used to heal dis-ease, prepare for meditation, and access spiritual realms. All are welcome to join in these powerful tools of transformation. Taught by Rev. Christina. Free to First Parish Members; $10.00 non-members.
Blankets, Gloves & Socks Collection

Faith in Action is collecting clean blankets, gloves and socks for the homeless. Please place your donations in the box in the Parish Hall, near the coat rack.

Deepening Our Compassion Practice
