A Note From Pastor Linda

Dear ChURch Family,

Summer staff hours at Hosanna often vary due to vacations, planned ministry trips and more, this summer more than usual. Kelsey Grachek- our Executive Assistant- will be on medical leave beginning Monday, June 17 returning to work on a regular schedule on Monday, July 8. We wrap her in our prayers for healing and health as she recovers. While we are preparing for Kelsey's absence, we cannot cover her typical office hours in full as Pastor Jen is away with trips both local and distant and Pastor Linda is in and out with meetings, studies and pastoral care. So here is the scoop:

Building Hours will continue to be 9am-4pm
Office Hours will be varied during Kelsey's absence. If you need access to the office, or someone in the office, please call or text Pastor Linda (651.334.0116).

Prayer Requests

At Hosanna, a person remains on the prayer chain for two weeks. However, in cases of long-term illness, hospice, or by request, the members of the prayer chain will pray for a person and/or situation in need, as long as requested.
Keep an eye out for our new "Prayer Page" on our website for online prayer requests!

Enrollment for Hosanna's Sunshine Discovery Center

Hosanna's Sunshine Discovery Center is opening Fall of 2019 and will be the second Forest Lake location to partner with Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC). The newly expanded programming will include flexible schedule options for INFANTS starting at 6 weeks and TODDLERS, starting at 16 months old. It will build on the strong, 30+ year history of Sunshine Preschool, by adding extended/wrap-around care, full-time schedule options and accreditation/ quality ratings. Weathering Life's Losses Adult Grief Group

Six Thursday evenings
June 20 - August 1 (omitting July 4)

6:00 - 7:15 p.m

Lakeview Hospital, Stillwater, MN

A grief support group, where participants learn about grief, have an opportunity to
share their story, as well as hear and support others who have experienced a

loss. Free, no registration required.

Student Leadership Camp

Grades 5+

July 15-18

Time: 9:00-1:00 pm, sack lunch except on Thursday when provided!

Student Leadership Campers will be known as "God Squad" during the VBS week. You will get to spend the morning session leading our Elementary Groups in Music, Games, Snack and assisting with the Bible Dive. In the afternoon if you choose to stay for the extended day, you will be "earning Hosanna bucks" to be put towards a future trip or event at Hosanna as a way to gain leadership experience for future opportunities. You ARE a leader and WILL ROCK THIS in JESUS' NAME!

Green Earth Team

The Green Earth Team would like to encourage Hosanna members and friends to continue to shop at Lebens Garden center through the end of June.

At checkout, please mention "Hosanna " and we will receive a percentage of your purchases. The profits generated will be used by the GET to help benefit the Great Outdoors worship area.

Elementary VBS for Completed Grades K-4 9:00-11:30 am

Cost: $45, includes t-shirt- Snacks- Activities

Extended Day option available, 11:30 AM- 5:00 PM. Additional Cost: $45 per child - Save $5 per additional children (Family Max. $150)

We are excited to bring you a fun-filled week with God - through music, games, snack, Bible story telling and more! We will also be looking for volunteers to help guide our kids through each station. Stay tuned for ways in which you can help. 

Preschool Half Day VBS

Ages 4 & 5, must be potty trained

Date: July 22-25

Time: 9:00 to 11:30 am

Cost: $45, includes t-shirt- Snacks- Activities*

Join us for a half day, led by Hosanna Lutheran Church Volunteers and our God Squad (Jr. Leadership kids). Your child will get to experience a taste of day camp through music, games, snack, Bible story telling and more! Space is limited. Enrollment is limited to 40 children, so register early. Children must be potty trained.

Interested in meeting and serving our Neighbors in Jamaica?

Get involved with Hosanna coming this Winter, 2020. A Mission Jamaica trip combines a service project, with time for reflection and spiritual rest. It allows a person to experience an international mission field that is close to home, yet far enough away to immerse yourself in another culture for a week. Over 30 years of accompanying our Jamaican neighbors, has led to over 35 Evangelical Lutheran Churches in America congregations and several colleges from Minnesota as well as North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina and Illinois in partnership with St. Andrew's in Mahtomedi, MN to get involved to make a difference for this community.

Hosanna will be having monthly Community Potlucks again this summer on the first Sunday of each month (June - September)! Bring a potluck item to share and Hosanna will be providing hot dogs on the grill for a family picnic!
