Free $5 to Ride: City of Rancho Cordova Launches Partnership with Lyft
The City of Rancho Cordova has partnered with Lyft, the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), and Sacramento Retional Transit (SacRT) to offer the "Free $5 to Ride" pilot program. The program provides SacRT riders with a Lyft code (RCFREE5) worth up to $5 for a Lyft ride to or from light rail stations in Rancho Cordova. Learn more

Rancho Cordova students at George Washington Carver School or Arts and Science placed in the Top 10 for the "Caring for Our Watersheds" competition! Their projects are already being implemented at the school to reduce waste and introduce a pollinator garden. Learn more

Congratulations to Cordova High students Csandra and Max for being selected as our 2019 Community Pride Scholarship recipients! This City employee-funded scholarship awards $500 to graduating seniors for demonstrating community pride.

Registration is currently underway for summer and fall classes at Folsom Lake College/Rancho Cordova Center for on-campus and online courses. The Summer 2019 session runs June 10 to August 8. The Fall 2019 semester kicks off the week of August 24 and runs through December 19.

Highway 50 and Zinfandel Drive Interchange Improvements
Construction on Highway 50 and Zinfandel Drive Interchange Improvements is anticipated to begin the week of June 17, 2019, weather permitting. The project will add an additional lane on Zinfandel Drive over Highway 50, modify the highway entrance and exit ramps, add bicycle lanes, and modify traffic signals. Learn more

The City, RCPD and Sacramento Metro Fire District encourage residents to be safe when using fireworks this Fourth of July season. In Rancho Cordova, the sale and use of "Safe and Sane Fireworks" is allowed between noon on June 28, 2019 through 10 PM on July 4, 2019. Learn more
