This Month's Hot Topic:
It's Intergeneration Month!
September is designated Intergeneration Month by the Intergenerational Foundation to celebrate the benefits of participating in relationships between young people and older adults while bringing awareness to the importance of closing the gap between generations.

Studies show that children who participate in activities with older adults tend to have improved reading scores, communication skills, problem-solving skills and a positive attitude toward community service. Here are some ways to help families connect across the generations, and in this time of social distancing, stay connected across towns and states:
Family Resources
Are you looking for school-age care?
Many schools are starting the school year remotely or using a hybrid model that is creating a need for child care during the days children are not physically in a school building.

The Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (ODJFS) announced last week new options for families who need care for their school-age children during the school day. These new regulations give families, including those using publicly funded child care, safe child care options for school-aged children during the school day at licensed:
  • child care programs that accept school-age children, or
  • temporary pandemic school-age programs.

4C for Children specialists can help find care for your school-aged child. Contact us at 800-256-1296 x1330 or visit our website.
