THANK YOU TO ALL WHO WORKED AT THE SPRING OUTDOOR CLEANUP ON JUNE 1 |
Thank you to all who worked at the spring outdoor cleanup on June 1st.
We had folk ages 3 and up helping out. You were great! While much has been completed,
we still have unfinished projects
- such as "weed-wacking" sections and completing the rail painting by the upper parking lot. If you could come by for
a few hours whenever it works for your schedule
to help out on one of our remaining needs, please contact Penn Gildersleeve at 303-902-9959 or penngildersleeve@comcast.net.

The LIBARY has been reorganized. Please consider making use of the many wonderful books in it! For example, The biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, by Eric Metaxas, or any of the C. S. Lewis books in the theology section. There are also many good resources for Biblical studies or the history of Methodism. We will not have a sign-out sheet. If you want to borrow a book, just take it. We only ask that you return it to the place you found it in a reasonable time, and in the condition that it was received. Also, if you wish to donate books, please do not just drop them off at the library. (Yes, I like to clean out my bookshelves, too.) Instead, please contact Jim Ament by phone or text message at 303-246-2480; or by email at jimament@me.com.

We have moved from a flea market to a Vendor Artisan & Craft market!
We are now working hard to get local vendors and artisans registered, so if you know of someone that would like to share their talent with us, please let them to get in touch with the office, Orpha, or Marcia.
If you know of that person with a special classic or collectors' automobile, get in touch with Vickie or the office.
Thank you to those who have signed up to provide for the bake sale, but we need more people to also sign up. Thank you, Debby Humphrey, for being our lead organizer.
NOW FOR THE SILENT AUCTION! YOU CAN NOT BE SILENT!
In the past, our silent auction has been over the top in many wonderful items from you & local businesses that we all frequent. We depend on our Silent Auction to be our most profitable part of the fundraiser and this year is no different-UNLESS WE DON'T GET ITEMS TO AUCTION. Sample bid sheets were handed out after the 10:30 service to fill out what you might like to offer in our auction. Those can be dropped in the box on the coffee counter or emailed to Marcia. There will be blank sheets to pick up at the box also. Right now, we do not have anyone that has offered to head up the auction, so until that happens, please contact Marcia for more info.
We will be having live music, hot sandwich lunch and lots of fun.
*
IF YOU HAVE USED BUT GOOD CONDITION ITEMS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE SELL, PRICE IT BEFORE YOU COME & WE WILL COMBINE IT ALL TOGETHER TO SELL. THE SALE OF THESE ITEMS WILL ALL GO TO THE CHURCH.
Thank you very much to those who have already signed up to help! We can always use help!
Here are some of our great volunteers so far:
Stephanie, Alice, Sandy, Jill, Jeanne, Ruthanne, Rob & Elizabeth, Ted & Dixie, John, & Pastor Deb.
Gayla & Jan Brown for sign making, Orpha for Vendor Registration,
Vickie's behind the "car scene" volunteers, & Mike, Dave & Terry V for live music!

MINISTRY JOTTINGS BY PASTOR DEB
|
"The church is not a building, the church is not a steeple, the church is not a resting place, the church is a people"
These lines, from one of the hymns we'll sing on Sunday, are even more true when I look at all the people who made our Vacation Bible School and Spring Clean-Up happen. We had long-time members, we had brand new members. We had leaders, we had followers. We had all ages and abilities. Thank you for being the church of Jesus Christ! This is what it means to be Christ's hands and feet and voices! How amazing you are!
This month we also have folk planning the Barefoot Mile, working on Church at the Ranch, making sure worship happens, reaching out to care for those in need, stepping up for the big July fundraiser, connecting with folk from other churches, and serving in the community. The ways our church - our people - are in ministry goes on.
Every week, we, along with our brothers and sisters in faith, serve our Lord. We make sure our church continues to be vibrant, compassionate and strong. I'm wanting to emphasis the "we". This really is a small church, comparably speaking, and, yet, committed to having a significant impact.
I'm wanting to encourage those of you who haven't thought recently about how you might be able to connect and serve the church in new ways to do so. We have need of new followers/workers, and we also have need of people who can see themselves as new leaders for the fresh decade almost upon us. Our church is the people - our church is you!
