All adults and youth are invited for a joint Sunday school lesson at 9:30 am this Sunday in Fellowship Hall with Dr. Gladys Memnon. Dr. Gladys is our mission partner from Bongnotte, Haiti. Come and enjoy conversation about the good work being done in Haiti and to learn more about how you can serve. You can meet Dr. Gladys at the reception following worship.

The Session has called a congregational meeting at the close of 10:30 am worship this Sunday, November 24 for the purpose of acting on a slate of nominees for elder and deacon, Class of 2022. The nominees for elder are: Susan Abbott, John Abernathy, Trey Byars, Kevin Christian and Greg Patton. The nominees for deacon are: Gage Chiniche, James Day, Rob Howell, Cliff Smith and Pattye Wilson. Find short biographies for each nominee here .
A reception honoring Pastor Paul Phillips and his ministry at FPC these last ten months will be in Fellowship Hall following worship this Sunday, November 24.
The church office will be closed November 28-29 in observance of Thanksgiving. There will also be no Fast Facts next Thursday. Please look for the December Newsletter for the latest updates on life at First Presbyterian Church.

Stewardship season continues as our church family discerns God’s call to give Beyond Sunday Morning in 2020! Over the past few weeks, members of our congregation have shared about the many ways FPC ministers throughout the whole week. James Day's story is one such example. Hear his story on our website about why FPC means so much to him and how important it is to serve Beyond Sunday Morning.
Young Adults! The final conversation in our Faith & Grief series happens this Sunday, November 24th! We will gather in the UKirk building from 4:00 to 6:00 pm for a communal conversation about faith, grief, and resilience. Please RSVP with David Randolph if you plan to attend. Parents - FPC's Nursery Ministry will be available in the Education Building during this event.
Parents, please remember to get your deposits for the Montreat Youth Conference in by this Sunday. The deposit is $200 and is not refundable.
Members are invited to help decorate the Sanctuary for Christmas by purchasing poinsettias for $12 each in memory or in honor of friends or loved ones. The deadline for ordering is Monday, December 2 nd . Please click here to order online. If you prefer to print the form, please click here . Be sure to list your information as you would like it printed in the bulletin and return it to the church office with your payment attached.  
A special Advent bible study will be offered the first three weeks of December. Two classes will be offered on Wednesday at 10:30 am and Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm after the Healing and Wholeness services. The book is "Light of the World, A Beginner's Guide to Advent" by Amy Jill Levine. Books are in and are $10. Contact the church office if you are interested in participating. 
First Presbyterian Church is serving at More than a Meal on Tuesday, December 3rd. More Than a Meal is a non-profit serving a warm meal every Tuesday night to Oxford residents. Please click on the link and sign up to bring an item or sign up to serve. Thanks in advance for your help.

The annual Christmas gathering for VIPs will be  Thursday, December 5  at 5:45 pm at the home of Melissa and Matthew Hall, 227 St. Andrews Circle. Guests are asked to bring their favorite appetizer along with the recipe. Mark your calendars today and let the church office know if you will be attending.

Lovepacks  donations are an easy way to help relieve hunger among Oxford and Lafayette County school children. If you'll bring your donations with you to church and deposit them in the church office or the narthex, volunteers will get them to the Lovepacks office for you.
