Dear Friend of CCSD93,
Thank You, CCSD93 Community
We started Enews, CCSD93's weekly email newsletter, in December 2009. This will be my final Enews as Superintendent of Schools, and the last Enews until the start of the 2019-20 school year. When I joined CCSD93, I never dreamed nor aspired to become Superintendent. I simply aspired to be the best possible building administrator. I am so grateful to CCSD93 for affording me many wonderful leadership opportunities during my tenure in the district. I've loved each and everyone one of them.
As you can imagine, CCSD93 has been a huge part of my life for nearly 30 years. Our organization has been recognized as a leading school district throughout the state and even on nationally. This recognition and all of our success stories have been the result of the amazing work and efforts of the Board of Education, teachers, administrators, and support staff. I've been very fortunate to be part of this as Superintendent for the past ten years.

Throughout the past few weeks, I've often heard from staff and community members how fortunate I am to be retiring. If I am fortunate for anything, it's having had the opportunity to work in what I consider to be the best community in the nation. With the support of CCSD93's Board of Education, the staff, and the community, together we've truly created one of the finest and unique learning organizations ever.

The next Enews in August will come from Dr. David Hill. David has been with CCSD93 for eight years, first as Assistant Superintendent for Business Services, and he has been the Associate Superintendent for the past three years. The Board and I have always looked to develop succession plans for our school and district leaders. The Board made an excellent decision by naming Dr. Hill as CCSD93's next Superintendent, the position he'll officially take on July 1. He is extremely bright and talented, and most importantly, his focus is always on what's best for CCSD93's students. He has spent the past three years getting to personally know students, staff, parents, and the community. He is the perfect fit for CCSD93. With your continued support, he will continue to build upon our successes and I am confident that he will bring CCSD93 to even greater heights.

Thank you for your support. I will truly miss CCSD93 and its community. It's been the honor of my life to be your Superintendent, and I will never forget all that we have accomplished for the children of our community.

Both Innovation Centers  are being remodeled to create more flexibility and collaborative learning opportunities, with embedded technology, inspiring colors, more natural lighting, and dedicated spaces for video production, tech help, and more.
