Lori Verbrugge and Nellie Corey Retire From Huron Valley State Bank


L ori Verbrugge, Senior Vice President of Retail Operations and Nellie Corey, Customer Service Representative retired from the bank on May 31, 2019. Both joined the bank in 2005 and had 14 years of dedicated service.  

Lori was involved in many areas of the bank including operations, retail, administration, human resources, compliance and marketing. The Huron Valley Community was also well served by her dedication. She served on the boards of Milford Business Association and Huron Valley Council for the Arts.  Lori also served on numerous committees and special projects over the 25 years living in the Huron Valley community. 

Nellie was one of the friendly faces at the Milford Branch.  She took great pride in helping customers with their banking needs.  Nellie has been incredibly active in the community. She has served on the Huron Valley Activities Committee and is a very active Milford Presbyterian church member

Both Lori and Nellie have been valued individuals at Huron Valley State Bank. They will be missed by our customers, directors and our bank family. We wish them all the best in their retirement.

Partnership with Kurtz Elementary School 
Huron Valley State Bank is pleased to announce the partnership with Kurtz Elementary School for the "Bank at School" program. The bank opened for business on Wednesday, March 20 after a ceremonial Ribbon Cutting at 9:15 am, and will operate the third Wednesday of the month.  This is the fifth elementary school partnership for Huron Valley State Bank.   More Info.

Complete CPR AED Training

Earlier this month twelve employees of Huron Valley State Bank completed CPR and AED training. The training was conducted by Amy Goan, Assistant Chief of the Milford Fire Department. Employees had to complete an online segment prior to the hands-on class for certification. More Info.
Meet Jeff Ozanich Our New
Vice President / Commercial Lender


Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO of Huron Valley State Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Ozanich to Vice President / Commercial Lender. In his position, he will be concentrating on developing and expanding commercial relationships in the community. 

Ozanich started his career over twenty years ago. He was most recently with Citizens Bank where he served as a Relationship Manager located out of Brighton covering a wide territory throughout Livingston and Oakland Counties. In his role he was responsible for partnering with the branches to develop new business, while managing his existing book of business. He was also responsible for deposits, merchant processing and cash management. Prior to that he was with Bank of America for 17 years. During his time at Bank of America he had a variety of roles from Business Calling Manager, to Mortgage Banker, Branch Manager and at one time he was licensed for investments. More Info.
