As we find ourselves dealing with unprecedented circumstances in our efforts to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, many of you are implementing management plans across your operations to protect against the risks of COVID-19 and to ensure employees are safe, healthy and the company is prepared. AME continues to support members by providing information, advocating for industry with government and offering resources to support mineral explorers. AME MinEx Talks Postponed

AME's Early Engagement Tool
AME's   Early Engagement Planning Tool helps mineral explorers develop an effective plan for engagement. The tool consists of 14 questions designed to generates a report upon completion with tips, guidance and tools for undertaking early engagement with Indigenous groups. Check out the tool .

For the fourth year, in collaboration with MEMPR and EY, we present the findings of the 2019 British Columbia Mineral and Coal Exploration Survey .

SGDS Hive | COVID-19 Action Forum
SGDS Hive have created a forum in response to the recent pandemic and to collect information and opinions on how this may affect the mineral exploration and resource extraction industry for projects or companies based in BC. Information will be monitored and may be used to help define policy, action plans and support measures to help our industry, its employees and stakeholders.

BC FrontCounter Closure and shift to virtual FCBC
In order to protect the public from COVID-19, FrontCounter BC has announced the closure of In-Person Services. In addition, MEMPR is discouraging the use of NROS in the interim and suggesting applicants use virtual FCBC.

Mineral and Coal Exploration Notice of Work Application Companion
This guidance document includes sample maps and a sample Notice of Work application. AME will continue to advocate for a timely and transparent Notice of Work process that builds certainty for explorers; and the Companion is a step toward this objective.
Updated Physical Work Report for Assessment Credit Released
The BC government has updated and revised the form required to record exploration and development work that is registered on a claim. Guidance on filling out the form is available in Information Update Number 8, available here.
In Memoriam: Ed Kimura and Jim Eccott
