This Week at the Levitt Pavilion
June 13-16
Levitt Pavilion movie night this week
is your turn to sing!

Thursday:  Most people come to the Levitt to hear music, but this week, it's the audience's turn to sing when Family Movie Night features  Sing-Along Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again! and another opportunity to belt out ABBA favorites. In 1979, young Donna, Tanya and Rosie graduate from Oxford University, leaving Donna free to embark on a series of adventures throughout Europe. On her journeys, she meets Harry, Bill and Sam. She falls in love with Sam, but he's also the man who breaks her heart. In the present day, Donna's daughter, Sophie, dreams of renovating her mother's taverna while reuniting with her mother's old friends on the Greek island of Kalokairi. The movie begins at 8 p.m. and is rated PG-13. Family Movie Night is sponsored by Arlington Highlands, and the first 100 guests will receive gift cards.

Friday: The Bright Light Social Hour kicks off the music portion of the Levitt concert week at 8 p.m. with their transcendent, experimental sound. The band released their third album this year, integrating elements of shoegaze, Krautrock and New Wave into the band's experimental sound. Their concert is presented by Sheraton Arlington.

Saturday:  Bri Bagwell, a
contemporary country artist with a honky-tonk heart and a romantic streak, performs at 8 p.m. presented by Prince Lebanese Grill. Bri competed on Country Music Television's
Next Superstar, then followed that up by being named Female Vocalist of the Year by the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards in 2013 and 2014. Her most recent album, In My Defense, was released last year and includes the single, "If You Were a Cowboy."

Sunday:  The Levitt welcomes Jenny & the Mexicats at 8 p.m. This quartet got their start playing on the streets and in venues throughout Spain, performing an international fusion of sound that mixes jazz rhythms, rockabilly, folk, flamenco, reggae, Veracruz, country and cumbia. Their first album went gold with a combination of songs in English and Spanish. Their concert is made possible by a grant from NEA/ArtWorks.

If we have to cancel, we will post it on our website, on the 24-hour information line, and on our Facebook and Twitter.
