Dear Sisters, Associates and Partners in Ministry,
We, the Chapter Planning Committee (CPC), recently held our
fourth meeting in preparation for General Chapter 2020.
We are happy to say that the planning is moving forward smoothly. We are confident of
your prayers and support in the work we have been given to do for the Congregation and for our desired future.
This meeting was held with the use of teleconferencing and a program called Zoom. In this "digital age" we have the capability to meet via computer with our sisters and associates in Brazil, Jamaica and the United States. Below is an image of the computer screen with the meeting participants as we appear throughout our meeting. This technology is a gift, saving both time and expense of travel, while keeping the committee members connected and the work of the Chapter moving forward.
Chapter Logo
During this Zoom CPC meeting we received an update on the Chapter logo. The Chapter theme, "Behold, I Am Doing Something New...Listen!" and a draft sketch of the logo has been sent to a graphic artist, Camille Robinson from Jamaica. Camille will be working with Denise Bunk-Hatch, our Communications Director, to develop the logo. Camille's work will be brought back to us, as a committee, for further input. Once again we thank everyone who submitted suggestions for both the theme and the logo.
Reflections on the Chapter Theme
We have received a reflection written by our sister, Janet Sullivan with her thoughts about what our theme is calling forth in us. We thank Janet for sharing her insights and we invite all of you, our Sisters, Associates and Partners in Ministry to write and send in your reflections on our Chapter theme. We ask that the reflections be brief (between 200 to 300 words) and if you wish to send an image with your reflection please do so.
