May in Truro...
This month we pick up 72 minutes of additional daylight, enough to bring temperatures up almost 10 degrees from April.
According to past records, we are told to expect an average temperature to 54°F, with average lows of 46°F and highs of 63°F. We traditionally get a total of 3.6 inches of rain. It's Spring, so with temperatures rising above 50°F plus the rain warming the soil, plant growth starts to accelerate.
Below are some of the activities and events happening about town this month.

Located behind the Truro Public Library, the raised bed garden is a community collaboration between Sustainable CAPE and partners: the Truro Public Library, Truro Recreation, Barnstable County 4-H and the Truro Cultural Council, a division of the MA Cultural Council.

TEA TIME AT THE COBB ARCHIVE Progress continues to be made on the addition of a climate-controlled storage room at the back of the Highland House Museum. Once it is completed this spring, we will be able to store artifacts and works of art at the museum regardless of the weather. Thank you to the CPC, the Town of Truro, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council for providing the funds for this project. You can see pictures of the work in progress on our website. The Highland House Museum will open for the 2019 season on June 1st.
