There will be no school Nov. 19-23 for Fall Break. Happy Thanksgiving!
"Blessing Baskets" will be distributed by Cross Church to area families in need this coming Sat., Nov. 17 and Sun., Nov. 18. For more information about times and locations, do a web search for Cross Church Blessing Baskets, email [email protected], or call 479-751-4523.
If your student goes by something other than their given first name, they can fill out this form at tinyurl.com/nameinyb and the correct name will be in the yearbook. This needs to be done by Fri., Nov. 30.
Wed., Nov. 28, the Fayetteville Color Guard Program will host its first Cadet Winter Guard clinic for the 2019 season. Winter Guard is a unique activity that combines theater and dance with spinning flags to create a performance like no other! Any Fayetteville student in grades 6, 7, 8, or 9 is eligible to participate on our competitive Cadet Winter Guard. There is no prior experience necessary, and all you need to participate is a good attitude and a strong work ethic. Advent calendars from Germany are for sale for $3 now through Nov. 30.
Each day from Dec. 1-Dec.25 has a piece of chocolate behind the door.
They can be purchased from an 8th grade German student or by going to B-9 during the first ten minutes of first lunch.
Woodland's school spelling bee will be held Tues., Nov. 27 after school in room D-1. Parents are welcome to attend!
If your student would like to participate, have them stop by Mrs. Kroening's room in D-8 to get study words and a permission slip. Please contact Mrs. Kroening at [email protected] if you have any questions or need any additional information.
Below is the Semester Finals Testing Schedule. Testing will be Dec. 17, 18, and 19. If you are checking out your student after their 7th period final on Dec. 19, you will need to get the permission slip at the bottom of the schedule signed and returned to their 7th period teacher.

Free Tutoring Available
Woodland will be offering free tutoring Mondays and Thursdays before school from 7:30-8:15 and after school from 3:45-4:30.

School Dance Nov. 30
Save the date and make plans to attend the Tropical Para-Dance school dance Fri., Nov. 30.
The dance will be held in the Woodland cafeteria from 7-9 p.m., and the cost to attend is $5.
