Health Director needed for Camping Season
 
We are still looking for a Health Director for the summer from June 30 through Aug. 9.
The wage would be $400-$550/ week and we provide food and housing.
This can be an EMT, LPN, RN, PA, NP or Physician with current CPR FPR w/AED and valid Driver's License.

Organist/pianist/choir director needed

Christ Church United Methodist, Glens Falls, NY - Church organist/pianist/adult choir director needed for weekly Sunday morning services beginning June 30, 2019. Salaried position involving approximately 8-10 hours a week. Choir rehearses on Sunday mornings prior to the 10 AM service. The sanctuary instruments are a 1974 Casavant organ with electropneumatic action and 52 ranks of pipes and a Kawai baby grand piano. Moriah UMC seeks cell phones

The Moriah UMC is collecting old cell phones. If anyone or any church is willing to collect for them, it would be deeply appreciated. The pastor would be glad to drive to the church and pick up the box of cell phones that have been gathered. Proceeds will go to a building fund for the church to help with many major repairs. Local Church & Community Events
Chicken and Biscuit Dinner, 4 PM to 6:30 PM Wednesday, June 5 at the Wells UMC. The menu consists of chicken in gravy on fabulous biscuits from Bev Peters, mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots, beverage, and desserts. Cost is by donation. Take-outs and gluten-free options are available. The Church is located near the center of Wells, NY, on Route 30. For questions or more information, call Alice at (518) 924-2220.
 
Yard and Bake Sale, 9 AM to 4 PM Friday, June 7 and 9 AM to 3 PM Saturday, June 8 at the Malta Ridge UMC, 729 Malta Avenue Extension, Malta (12020).  An ala-carte lunch, featuring hot dogs, chips and a beverage will be available from 11:30 AM to 2 PM on Saturday only. The sale will be held indoors and out. For additional information or directions please call the Church at (518) 581-0210.  Proceeds to benefit programs of the church.

If you are able, bring a dish to pass and your favorite game to share with others. Or bring a dish/dessert and join the game of your choice  (pinochle, Bananagrams, etc.). AARP Drivers Class, 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM Saturday, June 15 at the Shushan United Presbyterian Church. The class is also being sponsored by the Newman UMC. On completion of the course you will become more aware of driving skills and you will save on vehicle insurance. Pre-registration is required. Whitehall United Methodist Church will celebrate its 50th Anniversary on the hill. We have a special service planned at
10:30 AM on Sunday, June 30, along with a wonderful celebration after. We will have food, games and fellowship, welcoming any stories you would like to share of our history and how it has blessed you. We cordially invite all current and past members to attend. If you were married here, baptized here, attended Sunday school here or have ever had a family member attend, please consider joining us. If you have attended a wedding, baptism, funeral for a loved one or any event here, we invite you to join us. If you have ever sung in the choir we would love for you to participate in the service and help us "make a joyful noise". 'Connect' Game and Movie Nights, 6:30 PM Fridays at the Cambridge parsonage (41 E. Main St., Cambridge 12816). Do you know someone
between the ages of 18 and 35? Please invite them to our Friday night gathering. Connect is a small group through the United Methodist Church, made up of young adults who gather every Friday to play board games, watch movies and talk about important issues and topics. These topics range from financial planning and resume writing to the differences between hemp and marijuana. Please help spread the word! Plattsburgh United Methodist Men's Group Welcomes You to Breakfast On the 2nd Tuesday of each month. The group meets at Perkins Restaurant on Cornelia Street (right off exit 38 of I-87) for breakfast, prayer, conversation, and community building. (also accepting purses, blankets, sheets, drapes, linens,stuffed animals). Donation box in the back of the church. Volunteers welcome. Hours: 2 to 6 PM Fridays and 8 AM to Noon on Saturdays.
