100 Year Birthday Celebration
Happy Birthday Marcie!

100 Candles On Her Cake!
It’s time for us to celebrate.
Since way back in 1921,
Marcie’s always been one
to keep God’s plan awake!
Written In Honor of Marcie’s 100th Birthday by
FVLH Resident Poet, Jerry Hein

Marcie’s 100 year milestone reinforces the importance of our role in supporting our tenants so they can remain living independently in their own apartment as long as they are safe.
Can You Help?

Come join our team of volunteers at Fox Valley Lutheran Homes. We are looking for a self-starter to mow lawn and do weed trimming at our facility. We provide a riding lawn mower and weed trimmer along with gas. Each mowing takes approximately 1½ to 2 hours to complete and weed trimming takes about 30 minutes to an hour. Mowing starts usually in April/May and slows down to once every two weeks during the hot weather. If you are interested, please contact our Building Manager, Brian Krauss, at (920) 734-7225, Extension 1 or email at bldgmgr.fvlhomes@gmail.com.
The Luck of the Irish

Leprechauns were busy decorating all of our apartment and office doors for St Patrick's Day. Special thanks to our favorite leprechaun Mary Beth Nienhaus who created these colorful decorations to brighten our day!
Our Wise and Talented Tenants Sharing Their Wisdom

We are fortunate to have in-house technology gurus to show our tenants the basics of their new Samsung tablets. Jim Jensen and Ozzie Rapp shared tips and tricks to allow our tenants to familiarize themselves with new ways to communicate with friends and family.
Tenants Donate to "Help Homeless Hygiene Drive"
We are touched by the generosity of our tenants! In March they collected personal care items for local shelters. Our staff had to make 2 trips to deliver all the donated items.
Blind Dates at FVLH!

Our FVLH book club members, led by volunteer book club moderator Nancy, took the plunge and went on a blind date with a mystery book. Each member took home a wrapped book. Once home, they officially met their book (date) and gave it a fair chance. For some, the date didn't work out and for others, the book was read (the date was concluded) and the readers "Rated Their Date"!
Annual Meeting

The Fox Valley Lutheran Homes annual meeting will be held at 9 AM on Saturday, April 24, 2021. If we are unable to meet in person due to COVID-19, we will arrange a virtual meeting by ZOOM.

Please share this information with your delegates. As congregations select delegates, please forward their names, mailing address, email and telephone number to our Executive Director, Lynn Ann Clausing Rusch at lynnann.fvlhomes@gmail.com.
Thanks to Thrivent and Their Policy Holders!

Donate On-Line through PayPal

Due to the pandemic, many of our fund-raising opportunities have been canceled. We look forward to the time when, once again, our seniors will be able to participate in programs that are vitally important to them.  Programs that meet their holistic needs of mind, body and spirit help them maintain a quality of life. This is possible because of support from people like you. Please consider making a donation to support our ministry. You can mail your donation to the address above or make an online donation by clicking here.

Again, we thank you for remembering this growing group of elders that need our support through the ministry of Fox Valley Lutheran Homes.
