"Pick Your Own Veggies" Day
Come visit Bellwether Farm on June 8 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. to participate in this year's first "Pick Your Own Veggies" day. The current harvest includes: Swiss chard, kale, collard greens, salad turnips, head lettuce, salad mix, spring onions, sugar snap peas, carrots, chives, and various herbs. Some vegetables are more limited than others. We ask that individuals/families consider making a donation in exchange for the produce. Reusable insulated harvest bags with the Bellwether Farm logo will be available for a donation of $5 or more. Summer Camp at Bellwether Farm
Bellwether Farm offers a summer camp where school-age children can immerse themselves in fun, engaging activities. These programs will seek to teach healthy social, nutritional, and environmental practices, while providing a safe context in which to encounter God's beautiful creation. Campers will have an opportunity to learn about organic gardening, animal care, and creative cooking. They will also participate in traditional camp activities including swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, fishing, field games, and archery. The Bellwether Farm staff is invested in the life of every camper, seeking to inspire future generations to become passionate leaders in the world around them.

Reception for Katie Ong-Landini
The Diocese of Ohio will host a reception for  Katie  Ong-Landini  to honor her eight years of dedicated service  as Project Director for Bellwether Farm  and her leadership participation in the Planting for Tomorrow campaign on  Tuesday, June 18 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in T he Gallery at Trinity Commons.  Please  RSVP  to let us know if you will be able to attend the reception .
Reception for the Rev. Vincent Black
The Diocese of Ohio will host a reception for  the Rev.  Vincent  Black  to honor his 10 years of service  as he transitions from his position as Canon for Christian Formation  to full-time rector at Church of the Ascension, Lakewood on  Saturday,  June 22 from  3:00-5:00 p.m.  at Bellwether Farm.  Please  RSVP  to let us know if you will be able to attend the reception .
Worship Leader Training
There will be a Worship Leader training for interested lay people in the West Mission Area on Saturday, June 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's, Oregon. The Rev. Percy Grant will be the trainer. This is a requirement for those interested in leading Morning Prayer in their parish. You need to have your rector's permission to be licensed. The license is good for three years. Forms to apply for a license will be available at the training. Big Provincial Gathering
Province V of The Episcopal Church invites you to the Big Provincial Gathering in Kalamazoo, Michigan on July 12-13. Workshops of all aspects of ministry will be offered. Education for Ministry (EfM) Mentor Training
The Diocese of Ohio will sponsor an EfM Mentor Training on  August 8-10 at Bellwether Farm. The cost for this event is $275 and includes all fees and meals.  Register by July 29. Questions can be directed to the Rev. Brad Purdom at  [email protected] or Kate Gillooly at  [email protected].
PARISH EVENTS
Vigil Against Gun Violence
Church of Our Saviour, Akron will host a Vigil Against Gun Violence on Saturday  June 8  at 9:30 a.m. National Gun Violence Awareness Day June 7 and Wear Orange Weekend is June 7-9. We wear orange to fight for a future free from gun violence. Orange is the color that Hadiya Pendleton's friends wore in her honor when she was shot and killed in Chicago at the age of 15 - just one week after performing at President Obama's 2nd inaugural parade in 2013. After her death, they asked us to stand up, speak out, and wear orange to raise awareness about gun violence.
Three Church Pentecost and Picnic
St. Mark's, Canton hosts St. Paul's, Canton and St. Timothy's, Massillon for a festive service Sunday, June 9 at 4:00 p.m. with clergy and a combined choir followed by a picnic. The three church Pentecost and picnic is the final event in a year-long cooperation which started with a Fall meeting at St. Paul's, an Epiphany service at St. Timothy's, and now with Pentecost at St. Mark's .
Grand Opening
St. Peter's, Lakewood is having the grand opening of their new building on Sunday, June 9 at 3:00 p.m .
God is Seen: A Choral Concert
You are invited to join the Church of Our Saviour, Akron Chancel Choir for an evening of joyous music and spiritual reflection on June 15 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. "God is Seen" is a musical exploration that aims to seek the divine in the world around us--in ourselves, in nature, and in our fellow mankind. Music is a force for unity, solace, and perspective. The Church of our Saviour Chancel Choir is proud to present an uplifting and personal musical reflection on these themes, featuring guest singers and instrumentalists from the Northeastern Ohio area and music by some of the great modern composers including Alice Parker, Ola Gjielo, and Moses Hogan, and culminating with a masterwork of the Baroque period: "Gloria" by Antonio Vivaldi. Please join us after the concert for refreshments in the main hall. 
Sundays at 5 - Summer Storytelling Series
Christ Church, Huron is holding contemporary services throughout the summer at either Lake Front Park or the sanctuary at the church. The services began Memorial Day Weekend, May 26, and will go through Labor Day weekend, September 1 Throughout the series, the services will have a psychiatric nurse, a mental health counselor, the head of chaplaincy program at a Toledo Hospital, Denise and Bill Stewart, Laura Hnat, Kate Gillooley, the Rev. Kelly Aughenbaugh, the Rev. Greg Stark, and the Rev Alex Barton coming to share the story of their journey of faith.

The Diocese is collecting parish coffee mugs for use at Bellwether Farm. When not in use, the mugs will be showcased on the shelves at Bellwether Farm's coffee station.
