Community Update #16

Dear Community Member,

On May 14th, Governor Phil Scott announced plans to lift the mask mandate for vaccinated individuals. With over 76% of Vermonters now vaccinated, our community has done incredibly well following the Governor’s mandates over the last 14 months. The full set of updated guidelines from the Vermont Department of Health can be found here.

At BMH, we continue to make the safety of our staff and community a priority. Our testing site is still open and available. If you are not vaccinated and have been exposed or are experiencing symptoms, please schedule an appointment to be tested. You can register an appointment by clicking here. Effective Tuesday, June 1, the testing clinic hours of operation will be:
  • Monday-Friday: 5:00PM to 7:00PM
  • Saturday: 9AM-12:00noon

Additionally, we continue to offer vaccine clinics at BMH and last week began mobile clinics in the community where we successfully vaccinated 80 individuals at the Brattleboro Fire Station and over 300 at Brattleboro Union High School. We are currently securing locations for more mobile clinics and will share them on our Facebook page. The community clinics will be walk-in and will be either the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccine. Pfizer clinics are open to individuals ages 12 and up and J&J clinics for individuals 18+.

To date, we have administered 10,759 first doses and 7,861 have received both dose 1 and dose 2 for a total of 18,620 doses of vaccine administered! If you have not received your vaccine, please consider doing so. To register and view upcoming clinics, click here.

Effective June 17th, the hours of the vaccination clinics at BMH will be:
  • Thursdays: 11:00am to 7:00pm
  • Saturdays: 9:00am to 1:00pm
These clinics will be predominately Pfizer clinics so that we can accommodate all ages.

Please know, our staff is here to care for you for all your health needs – please do not put off care, our facilities are clean and safe and our staff strictly follow all CDC and Vermont Department of Health guidelines.

I hope you and your family members will continue to remain safe as we move through the state’s Vermont Forward plan this summer.

Thank you and stay well, Steve
