Dear Parents,
It was great to see so many of you at the Book Fair this week.
It's wonderful to support both the love of reading in our children and fundraising for our school through this event! An enormous thank you goes out to our Book Fair Committee Chairs who did an amazing job pulling it all together.
We also wanted to thank those of you who participated in the Supply Drive for the School in Kenya in support of a local high school student's community service efforts. We are sending a great collection of supplies to the school!
Our Green Committee is still collecting gently used Boots as part of the Boot Drive which will culminate in a "Boot Swap" on Monday, November 19th from 2:45pm-4:30pm when you can come shop for boots as well!

HOLIDAYS FOR HAITI - TODAY
Help give a child in Haiti a reason to smile this holiday season. Come join the Community Service Committee after school TODAY,
Friday, November 16th
, in the Riverside School Gym. Students will select a Haitian child to support at our partner school and decorate a holiday card to send them with a polaroid photo taken at the event. All you need is $20 per card; all other
materials will be in the gym ready for you!

MATH MARATHON - ENDS TODAY!
This was the last week of the Math Marathon! Friday, November 16th is the last day. So far the students have completed over 184,000 problems. The grade level winner as well as the top three individual classes will be announced next week. Great job Riverside!

AMERICA RECYCLES DAY!
This past Thursday we were in the cafe for America Recycles Day!
Students enjoyed learning more about the
recycling process through interactive games and an informational video.
Keep the conversation going by discussing ways you recycle at home. Here is the complete updated List of Recyclables for the town of Greenwich.

BOOT DRIVE
Please remember to bring in your gently used boots for our Winter Boot
 Drive! We will be collecting donations under the "Oops Table" until
November 19th.
All families will then be able to "shop" for boots free of charge Monday
November 19th
from 2:45-4:30pm in the cafeteria. Any unclaimed items will be donated to Kids in Crisis. REDUCE, REUSE & RECYCLE!!!

YOUR CHILD'S PHOTO AND PHOTO RETAKES 
Check your child's Friday Folder today because their school pictures have arrived! Photo Retake Day will be held on Thursday,
November 29th
for students who missed Picture Day and for those students whose parents are dissatisfied with their student's portrait. You must return the entire, undamaged portrait package (except the class photo, you should keep this) on Retake Day. No retake pictures will be given to parents until the originals have been returned.
