The Graduates

On Thursday, May 9, we held the Leadership Contra Costa Class of 2019  graduation ceremonies at Scott's Seafood Grill & Bar in Walnut Creek. It seemed fitting that in the 32nd year of the program, 29 class members graduated their class. The graduation ceremony was led by Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau current chair and Leadership Contra Costa Alum Jim Fidelibus . Attendees heard from the guest speaker,  Hon. Catherine Baker, former state assembly member, 16th assembly district. Graduating class participants, Zohreh Khodabandelu and AnnAlia Young shared class members' favorite sessions and thoughts on how they will apply what they have learned. The class graduates David Droppo and Lisa Zuffi took a moment, to thank program leader Marcie Hochhauser on behalf of the whole class. Marcie has been successfully running the program since its inception. Finally the class received their graduation plaques and congratulation certificates from Congressman Mark DeSaulnier, State Senator Steve Glazer, former Assemblywoman Catharine Baker, Assemblymembers Tim Grayson and Rebecca Bauer-Kahan and Contra Costa County District Supervisors Candace Andersen and Karen Mitchoff.

All twenty nine grads now join the Leadership Contra Costa Alumni Association, with all the benefits and friendships it has to offer. It was a wonderful evening and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our graduates who have been on an enlightening learning journey since the classes began in October. Congratulations!
