Youth Happenings!

October was a busy month for us! We fellowshipped together at the fair and had fun redecorating our youth room couch with sparkly duct tape!

More importantly, we learned what it looks like when we treat others the way God wants others to be treated through discussions around active listening, acts of  service, and words of affirmation.

During the month of November, we will be planning for Cocoa and Carols on Dec. 16th at 5 pm. Our youth have been blessed with gifts of creativity and humor, and we hope to share those with you at this event.

If you are interested in providing dinner for the youth, please email me at  mundkm12@wfu.edu  or call (828) 713-2570.

Peace,
Kaitlin Mundy

Crisis Control Ministry

Crisis Control Ministry has requested for the month of November COOKING OIL.  I will admit that it is not the most exciting thing to gather but it is an essential ingredient.  In today's world, emphasis is on healthy meals and healthy meals begin with healthy ingredients. I would suggest you choose Canola or Corn oil in small containers so that your gift can be shared by more people.  I saw a billboard today stating "Hunger never takes a vacation". With the holidays quickly approaching, put several of those bottles in your cart and place them in the white bin in the Education Hallway. As always, you will be blessed.

CDL Bus Driver Needed!!!

Would you be willing to help our youth by driving them occasionally to camp or other events?

If you are under the age of 72 and willing to get a CDL to drive the bus, First Christian Church needs you!

Click here for more info about the CDL license and what you will need.

Listen to Sermons Online

You can listen to Ken Massey's sermons online here: www.sermoncloud.com/firstchristian. A big thanks to Andy Askew for recording the sermon audio every Sunday!
Samaritan Ministries

The shelter has a year-round list of needs that are always appreciated. They especially have shortages of men's deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, and socks.  Food items are canned meats and #10 size canned fruits, vegetables and applesauce. Please place your items next to the white bin in the foyer outside the office or in the church office.
