This year's Friday Night Fish Boil fundraiser for Hatchery Park is at Horse Fair Park   on Friday, June 21, from 5 - 10pm. Serving all-you-can-eat boiled cod, BBQ chicken & ribs, red potatoes & onions, bread, coleslaw & dessert until 8pm. Food prepared by Fitzgerald's of Genoa City. Kid's meals available, too. Silent Auctions and live music by the Judson Brown Band until 10pm. All proceeds go to the upkeep and beautification of Hatchery Park. View the flyer here. Hope to see you there!
Kick-off Party for Summer Reading Program
Summer reading programs for children, teens & adults kick-off this Saturday, June 8 at the Nippersink Library from 10am - 2pm. Drop in anytime - registration is not required for the party. Lots of other fun events and programs for all ages. View the link to the Facebook event here .

1st Annual Youth Bass Fishing Derby a Success!
Despite the early rain, the RBCHS Bass Fishing Club Youth Fishing Derby was a great success. Over 35 anglers competed this year. Thank you to everyone who participated in this great event and to all their sponsors, including the Village. View more photos here!

Tire Recycling This Saturday
The McHenry County Dept. of Health and Division of Transportation are providing residential tire recycling at no charge this Saturday, June 8 from 8am - noon at 16111 Nelson Road in Woodstock. Sign-up is required. View more details and restrictions here .

A Music Weekend
Spend some summertime fun on the outdoor patio this weekend at The Grove Pub & Grill. The music line-up is Tony Amber on Friday from 7:00 - 10:00pm, Rick Embach Jazz Duo on Saturday from 6:30 - 9:30pm, and Marie Martens Blues Jam on Sunday from 3:00 - 5:00pm. Located at 2008 Main Street.

Free Week at Historical Society
Spring Grove residents get in free at the McHenry County Historical Museum on Saturday, June 15 and from Tuesday, June 18 - Friday, 21 this year. Their new exhibit, Prairie Trails to Strange Tales , chronicles our pioneering past with tales of pioneers who settled on the prairie. There are other interesting exhibits to view, as well. Located in Union at 6422 Main Street . Open from 1 - 4 PM.

Property Tax Rebate
Property tax bills have been mailed out by McHenry County. Included in this year's bills is a note on how to claim a share of a rebate of Valley Hi Nursing Home surplus funds. Eligible homeowners will recoup about 30 percent of what you paid last year for the county government portion of your tax bill. Application period starts June 1 - July 31, 2019.
