Featured Presentation - Preparing Your Practice for Sale
If you are an O&P practitioner thinking about selling your business for any reason, it can be difficult to find the information to know how much your business is worth and its value in the O&P marketplace. If you built your business from the ground up, personal feelings and judgments can affect your sales process.

Learn how to determine:
  • The value of your O&P Practice
  • The proper steps and timeframe for selling
  • Inside buyer sales versus outside buyer sales
  • How the public and your patients will handle the change
  • Intangible elements of value including reputation, history and community impact

Creating Meaningful Lower Limb Prosthetic Outcomes: Preliminary Findings of a 12-Month Pilot,
Brian Gustin, CP
O&P patient outcomes have been talked about a lot, but what has actually been done, which is meaningful to the individual clinic, patient, healthcare system, and payer? This presentation will discuss the genesis and preliminary findings to date of a 12-month Pilot Longitudinal Lower Limb Prosthetic Outcome data collection project. The project focuses on two main areas - Function related to Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADL's) and Psychosocial aspects related to Health Related Quality of Life characteristics.
Featured Presentation:
Functional Solutions for Partial Hand Amputations, Hannah Smith
Most upper-limb amputations are traumatic in origin, and 94 percent of them occur at the fingers and metacarpals. Naked Prosthetics will be addressing partial-hand amputation, finding a solution and how our prostheses are engineered for strength. The partial-hand amputee population consists of predominantly working-age men (86%) who generally experience traumatic amputations in the workplace. This population has historically been under-served in the prosthetic world, often because patient-care providers are unaware of a functional solution that is appropriate for their specific needs. Naked Prosthetics will be addressing the demographics of this population, current solutions available on the market, and how our prostheses in particular are designed with this population in mind.
