To the SEVEN churches in Asia Minor; Grace and peace to you...
Dear Friends,
School's out for Summer!! But not chURch- we continue to LIVE and LOVE and SERVE all year long!
This Summer we are taking on the Book of Revelation. As we open the book we discover that it is a letter written to the 7 chURches. On Sunday we will name those chURches- and begin to understand who they are, how they look like us and how they look different than us. As we consider these 7 chURches we will look more deeply at who Hosanna is as a chURch. We will be challenged by this letter.
So what is the chURch?
We sometimes define the chURch as a building, a place that we go. This is not the concept of chURch in Revelation. In Revelation the chURch is the Body of Jesus, the church are people.
Paul says it like this in 1 Corinthians:
You are the body of Christ
;
each and every one of you is a
vital
member.
Here is the KEY: U R the chURch, and in fact we cannot be the chURch with out the U R! As we enter the Summer months, we know that our numbers will go down- worship numbers, giving numbers, participation in programming... We understand, we really do, but as the chURch, the Body of Christ, it is important for me to share with you that as we enter Summer we are experiencing a financial shortage that will be unsustainable by the end of the Summer. There are many ways to stay current that would benefit your chURch family:
The work we do is important, and it does not stop over the Summer! Thank you for the many ways you LIVE, LOVE and SERVE in the world.

Prayer Requests
At Hosanna, a person remains on the prayer chain for two weeks. However, in cases of long-term illness, hospice, or by request, the members of the prayer chain will pray for a person and/or situation in need, as long as requested.

Enrollment for Hosanna's Sunshine Discovery Center
SCHEDULE A TOUR TODAY!
Hosanna's Sunshine Discovery Center is opening Fall of 2019 and will be the second Forest Lake location to partner with Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC). The newly expanded programming will include flexible schedule options for INFANTS starting at 6 weeks and TODDLERS, starting at 16 months old. It will build on the strong, 30+ year history of Sunshine Preschool, by adding extended/wrap-around care, full-time schedule options and accreditation/ quality ratings. Registration for the 2019-2020 school year has begun!

Student Leadership Camp
Grades 5+

Time: 9:00-1:00 pm, sack lunch except on Thursday when provided!
Student
Leadership Campers will be known as "God Squad" during the VBS week. You will get to spend the morning session leading our Elementary Groups in Music, Games, Snack and assisting with the Bible Dive. In the afternoon if you choose to stay for the extended day, you will be "earning Hosanna bucks" to be put towards a future trip or event at Hosanna as a way to gain
leadership experience for future opportunities. You ARE a
leader and WILL ROCK THIS in JESUS' NAME!

Green Earth Team
Fundraiser at Lebens

Cost: $45, includes t-shirt- Snacks- Activities
Extended Day option available, 11:30 AM- 5:00 PM. Additional Cost: $45 per child - Save $5 per additional children (Family Max. $150)
We are excited to bring you a fun-filled week with God - through music, games, snack, Bible story telling and more! We will also be looking for volunteers to help guide our kids through each station. Stay tuned for ways in which you can help.

Join us for a half day, led by Hosanna Lutheran Church Volunteers and our God Squad (Jr. Leadership kids). Your child will get to experience a taste of day
camp through music, games, snack, Bible story telling and more! Space is limited. Enrollment is limited to 40 children, so register early. Children must be potty trained.
