HTCNJ orchestrated an ENT medical mission to the Dominican Republic  from October 27 - November 3, 2018

Healing the Children New Jersey's Annual ENT Mission to the Dominican Republic Helps Dozens of Children

Healing the Children New Jersey's (HTCNJ) volunteer medical team screened 248 children and performed ninety-one procedures on sixty-seven children at the Centro Medico Romana in the Dominican Republic .

The team led by doctors Lee Eisenberg, Robin Brody, and Daniel Grinberg, consisted of eighteen medical professionals and laypersons.

"If congenital ENT abnormalities are not addressed children can develop chronic ear disease. As a result, poor sleep can affect school learning and weight gain," said Dr. Eisenberg.  HTCNJ is a non-profit that provides free surgical care to children in developing countries. Since 1981, the organization has helped over 37,000 children.

In 2018, HTCNJ orchestrated five medical trips to countries such as Ecuador, Peru, and the Dominican Republic. Six trips are already on the calendar for 2019. Please visit our website at htcnj.org to learn more about HTCNJ and opportunities to become involved.
