Elementary Parent Math Information Event
You are invited to join WCSD's Math Coach and teacher representatives to learn more about how you can support your child in the area of mathematics. This parent meeting will be held from 6-7 PM on November 29 at Parkmead Elementary School. We hope you can attend!

From the Office
Parent/Teacher conferences begin this week and with that early dismissals on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. TK/K students will dismiss at 11:30 while 1st-5th will dismiss at 12:30. Also, no ASE classes on the shortened days. Please be on time to pick up your kiddos.
No school next week in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Please check out the Lost & Found if your child is missing a jacket or sweater. At least 50 students are missing something because that's how many items we currently have!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving break and we'll see you all back on the 26th.

DONATIONS Needed! We are looking for big-ticket items such as weekend getaways, flight miles, hotel stays, major sporting event tickets or memorabilia, theater tickets, or other unique adventures. But, we are also looking for smaller items such as day trips, gift cards, gift baskets, golf course tickets, massages, and more!
Additionally if you are interested or know someone who might be interested in sponsoring the event or advertising, we have a variety of options that will provide a great deal of online exposure and day-of event publicity.

Scholastic Book Fair Thank Yous
A heartfelt thank you to all the amazing parents, families, friends and teachers who visited our Scholastic Book Fair, bought books and volunteered their time. Our book fair was a huge success once again because of all of you. Profits, which go directly to our school library to purchase new books, were up from last year.

Holiday Pie Fundraiser Update
Thank you to those who participated in our Holiday Pie fundraiser that ended last week! We raised over $1500 and were able to donate 45 pumpkin pies to the Bay Area Rescue Mission last Friday!!! Thank you again for supporting the Murwood PTA!

Keyspot is so pleased to announce, that with the help of parent Zetta R. we are the proud recipients of a $500 community grant from the Walnut Creek Civic Pride Foundation to offset the cost of our Children's Theater program. With the financial help from this Grant, we were able to procure the Aladdin Kids Script from Musical Theater International. Aladdin will be performed on May 10th, 2019. You are all invited to attend!

It's here! Gott's Great Big Give Back is today.
WCEF gets 20% back all day long!!
On Wednesday, November 14 drop by Gott's Roadside anytime from 10:00 am - 9:00 pm and dine out to benefit WCEF. Not only does Gott's make it a point to hire Las Lomas students (!), but Gott's Walnut Creek has once again opted to support our schools and your students with a whopping 20% of all proceeds from the day! Go ahead and get the burger and fries (and soft serve!), you're going to need the energy for the Turkey Trot. Thank you for your generosity, Gott's!

Turkey Trot Volunteers Needed (Adults and Teens Welcome!)
We need volunteers for the Turkey Trot. Available stations include both 5k and 10K water stations, as well as race ambassadors so runners don't go off course. Early risers can get in some volunteer hours by helping to setup on race day, and we also need volunteers to hand out race packets in the days leading up to Thanksgiving.
