CABLE
SUPPORTS VETERANS
From jobs and training to low-cost broadband to service projects, the cable industry demonstrates its commitment to military veterans every day of the year, not just on Veterans Day.

Through its hiring, cable gives veterans a career, not just a job. In return, the cable industry adds highly skilled and disciplined employees with valuable talents and attributes to its workforce.
CABLE AND HISTORY
"TAKE A VETERAN TO SCHOOL"

Since 2006, cable operators across the country, including several in Texas, participate in the Take a Veteran to School initiative from programmer HISTORY. Through events held at schools on or around Veterans Day, the popular public affairs outreach program connects veterans from all walks of life with students in schools and communities nationwide. Texas events this year were held by Altice USA (which provides Suddenlink services), Cable ONE and Charter Spectrum.
CABLE IN THE COMMUNITY
In cities and towns across Texas, local cable operators and their employees make their communities a better place to live. Cable companies not only make financial and in-kind donations to numerous civic and charitable organizations, but employees volunteer thousands of hours of their time each year. Check out the latest cable industry community initiatives below.
