A Message From Mrs. Bryks...

Dear Parents,

On behalf of the Music Department at St. Francis Xavier School, I would like to invite you to our annual Carol & Light Service to be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the Church. This beautiful Advent prayer service features seasonal readings, prayers, hymns, and concert style songs presented by the students in grades 2, 4 and 6. It will last approximately 50 minutes.

The students should report to their assigned classrooms in the school building by 6:50 pm. Please keep your child’s coat with you since the children will not return to the school building after the service. Dress for the evening is “Sunday best”. No gym shoes, jeans, T-shirts or athletic wear is allowed. Since this is a school project, all students in 2nd, 4th and 6th grades are expected to attend.

The children have been working hard to prepare this wonderful program. I hope you will make the Carol & Light Service a part of your family’s preparation for the coming of Christ. If you have any questions please contact me by phone at 352-2175 or via email at dbryks@sfxlg,org.

Building Our Future

Goal: $150,000 and 100% participation

Building Our Future is a fund that has a 100% return rate to SFX. We must collect at least $150,000 this year to close the gap between the tuition charged and the cost to educate. This is a large number, but it's not insurmountable. We will be sharing regular status updates on how we are progressing as a whole toward achieving our targeted goal.

Families can choose to support this fund in a variety of ways: electronic fund transfer; credit card; or check.  Many companies have the program and most will match 1:1. In addition, spouses can each request a match on one donation which could potentially triple the donation amount!

Please consider establishing an automatic monthly payment as a quick and easy way to donate to Building Our Future. For example, if you arrange to have $150 withdrawn from your account beginning this month and ending in June - you will have donated over $1,000 in a 'painless' way! Truly - every dollar counts!

Thank you for believing in Catholic education.

Parent - Teacher Conferences
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are asked to accompany their parents to conferences.

Dear Parents,

As the weather begins to get colder and the snow is about to fly it is important that everyone reviews our traffic plan. Safety is a top priority and everyone must follow and respect the traffic procedures to keep our children safe. Please advise others who may be picking up or dropping off your children.

Thank you for your cooperation,
Sharon M. Garcia
Principal

7:30-8:30am & 2:00-3:30pm

  • SLOW DOWN
  • No cell phones should be used in the school zone
  • Parents remain in cars and have your child ready so that drop off can be done quickly

  • No Parking on Waiola, Bell to Ogden - Unless you are picking up a sick child
  • Those who enter the building during school hours may park in the Rectory parking lot.
  • Traffic is northbound only on Waiola Ave.
  • Obey No U turn signs – no turning around in driveways
  • Cars may not enter Waiola Ave. from Ogden Ave.
  • All traffic must turn left onto Ogden Ave.

  • When dropping off in church lot, pull up as far as possible before stopping to drop students off, even if you are the only one there
  • Students should walk to the fence and follow the walkway

Please remember, if you are parking and walking to school, or parking and waiting for your student, the law requires that you park 20 feet from the crosswalk and 30 feet from the stop sign.

Before school, there are supervisors on the playground beginning at 7:50am.

After school, there will be 2 teachers outside for supervision. Please discuss with your child to either stay on the playground until they see you or designate a meeting place. All students remaining on the playground 10 minutes after the bell will be brought to the office.

LaGrange Police have informed us they will issue tickets for parking violations, which include leaving cars parked on Waiola Ave. between Bell Ave. And Ogden Ave.
