IvyNotes: November 12th
  Director's Note

I hope you all had a nice Veteran's Day weekend. November is traditionally a month for showing gratitude. This week, we thank our veterans for their service.

We're excited to share a video recap from the Ivymount Gala at the Washington National Cathedral.  We continue to be exceptionally grateful for all of your efforts and participation in this event. Please scroll down to watch the video.

Here are a few reminders for this week:

Too busy to cook? We've got you covered! A big thank you to our PTA for hosting a fundraiser at Ledo Pizza  this Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. We hope to see you there (more details below).

If you are searching for Thanksgiving baked goods please consider supporting Sunflower Bakery, an exciting enterprise that combines skills training with actual work experience.  Their mission is to prepare individuals with developmental or other cognitive disabilities for employment in baking and related industries through skilled, on-the-job training.

Orders placed online  by this Friday at 2 p.m. will be delivered to Ivymount on Monday, November 19 th . (You can select Ivymount as your pickup location during check out or one of the other convenient locations.)  Sunflower Bakery will donate 5% of its sales from the event to Ivymount.

Our complimentary Music for Autism concert is scheduled for this Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. I hope many of you can join this family event to enjoy the music and fun! It's not too late to RSVP. Please see link below.
