CEDP - Framework For Recreation in Canada Grant
|
|
The Community Engagement and Development Program Framework in Action (CEDP – FIA) grant is to promote the capacity building benefits of sport, culture and recreation programs. It provides financial support to organizations in communities within the Prairie Central District for Sport, Culture and Recreation (PCDSCR) to align initiatives with the Framework for Recreation: In Canada. Application due dates are: May 31, 2021 / September 30, 2021 / January 15, 2022

Share a photo or story from an accredited Saskatchewan Regional Park in the Prairie Central District on one of our social media pages or via email aileen.pcdscr@sasktel.net for one entry into the draw. Entrants may only enter a total of 10 photos/stories. This contest is intended for participation from Saskatchewan, specifically the Prairie Central District. To win the prize packages, you must live in the Prairie Central District. Draws will be made once a PCD BINGO has been called, aka a share from each Regional Park. Each winner will take home a PCD prize package. Prize package contents may change at the contest holder’s discretion. Prize Package will be shipped at no cost to the winner. Head out and have some fun!

May is KidSport Month in Saskatchewan
To help fundraise, the 40 local KidSport chapters across the province will host a variety of fundraising events and activities, following COVID-19 regulations:
- May 10, KidSport Regina, Farm Credit Canada (FCC) Spirit Fund, Regina Police Service and Regina Fire & Protective Service distributing more than 180 soccer balls or footballs to Dream Broker participants. KidSport Ambassadors will also conduct a skills session webinar with the kids after distribution.
- May 20-26, KidSport Saskatchewan & Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers will hold an online charity auction featuring sports memorabilia and a variety of items from Saskatchewan businesses.
- May 25, the lights of Mosaic Stadium will go yellow in support of KidSport. Encourage other businesses and organizations in the province to shine on for KidSport by lighting up yellow or putting KidSport's logo on digital signs.

Students across Saskatchewan have been hard at work putting together their Heritage Fair submissions.

Culture Days registration will open in May! Four weeks of arts and culture experiences indoors, outdoors, and online.
Arts and culture emerged as a lifeline of joy, providing gifts of colour, hope, and reprieve needed to make it through this past year. Collectively, we’re imagining what a post-pandemic world could look like and how we can each contribute to that picture being brighter. Through that lens, Culture Days has chosen RE:IMAGINE as the very apt 2021 theme. Read more
