Túumben Paax
("New Music" in the Mayan language) have traversed the globe, from
Florence
to
Fukushima
, winning both awards and audiences for their pitch-perfect renditions of pre-Hispanic music, as well as the more than 40 new works specifically composed for this beguiling sextet's two-soprano, four-mezzo forces.
