US Open Bound!

CSDS is so excited that two of our own are returning to  The Open over Thanksgiving weekend, to compete their new routines!! Alyssa Gillespie and partner Rob Glover will compete in the Showcase division, and Jacen Northcutt and partner Taylor Garrish will compete in the Young Adult division. We are all so proud of you and wish you the best of luck! You can watch online (for a fee)  here!

Dancing at The Laurels - Dec. 18th

Join us at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, December 18th when we head over to The Laurels to spread some holiday cheer! It's been several years since we've paid them a visit and they are super excited about us coming to dance and socialize with them during the holiday season. Spread the word, everyone is welcome to join us! And, if you are able to bring something to share (cookies, etc.), please do, but no nuts!

Charlotte Westie Fest

Charlotte Westie Fest is the next regional weekend dance event, Thursday - Sunday, January 30th - February 2nd, in Charlotte, NC, and hosted by our friends, Event Directors Rick and Cindy Dauss. Many C-ville/CSDS Westies will be attending with our own Alyssa Gillespie on staff! If you've never attended a weekend dance event, this would be a great first event. Up to 4 days of non-stop dancing in the form of workshops, intensives, performances, competition and of course, tons of social dancing. You'll learn from the top touring professionals and meet/dance with hundreds of other dancers from all over. Interested in purchasing dance shoes? Several dance shoe vendors will be on site with loads of shoes available for you to try on! If you are at all considering going,  reserve a hotel room now; you can always cancel it later. If you wait until you decide to go to get a room, the hotel will most likely be sold out and it will be too late!

HELPERS WANTED!

Would you enjoy free admission to a CSDS dance? CSDS is a non-profit organization and is 100% run by volunteers. It "takes a village" to host a dance. Volunteer Coordinator Kristin Wenger is collecting names of CSDS members who would be willing to help out from time to time in exchange for free admission. We need helpers to set up, sit at the registration desk, clean up, or help with the snack table.  Let her know if you are interested. No obligation required. Thank you helping to support your local dance club!
