Alerts Issued for 10 Busiest Days of Holiday Traffic
Each year during the holiday season, the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) designates Gridlock Alert Days as some of the historically busiest traffic days of the year. The DOT estimates that trips in Manhattan will take twice as long as usual during these dates.

Friday, November 16 is the first Gridlock Alert Day of the 2018 holiday season.
The other anticipated Gridlock Alert Days are:
