My Dear Old Donation...

HELP! The walls are closing in!

The only way we'll be saved is if you all come out on Saturday to [volunteer for] Oyster Roast, and buy all of the things that are filling up our hallway. There is an abundance of goodies over here - baskets and things for the Silent Auction; toys, paintings, blankets, decorations, etc for the White Elephant room; dozens of boxes of books for the Book Sale; and, best (or worst, for my salivary glands) of all is the smell of George Butler's bread pudding wafting into my office.

On the note of the Oyster Roast, we do still need volunteers. PLEASE! If you have any time at all, we especially need cashiers, cleanup crew, and help with making the BBQ overnight. If you have time on Thursday or Friday instead, we could use help in unloading the POD and getting the White Elephant set up and priced. Contact Betts Werbiskis (text: 757-434-2557)  or Jonathan Halvorson (text: 757-376-3939) to let them know you want to help! Lastly - bring your friends and neighbors! Oyster Roast is for everyone!

There will be NO Wednesday night program tonight, so rest up and save your time for the Oyster Roast. That is the biggest thing happening right now.

On Sunday, I'll be preaching at 8:00, 10:30, and 5:00; Fr. Bob will be in the Gathering. It's also a Mission of the Holy Spirit Sunday, so please join me at 2:30 at St. Stephen's in Norfolk for worship, and a meal following.

Finally, our annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service will be held next Tuesday at 7:00pm in the Chapel at Grand Affairs. I'll be preaching, and would love to see you there!
