Statement by USAID Administrator Mark Green On a Second Funding Tranche of $62 Million in Assistance to Respond to the Pandemic of COVID-19 The U.S. Government announced March 18th the release of $62 million from the Emergency Reserve Fund for Contagious Infectious-Disease Outbreaks (ERF) at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to address COVID-19. USAID will use these new funds and the $37 million from the ERF previously authorized and announced for critical interventions in developing countries affected by, or at high-risk for, the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 Guidance for Faith-Based and Community Organizations

For the latest COVID-19 updates and guidance, we encourage you to refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) dedicated website . Also available in Spanish . Other valuable resources include: The President’s Coronavirus Guidelines for America: 15 Days to Slow the Spread. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Center for Faith and Opportunity Initiatives’ shared guidance for faith-based and community leaders, including recommended preventative actions and FAQs specific to their needs. Georgetown University’s Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs is launching an online platform and daily emails to collect and communicate information related to religious actors responding to COVID-19.  The platform aims to organize information so that it can be quickly found and used by development policymakers and practitioners and religious actors seeking to work together in the COVID-19 response.
