Our First Social Sunday is Here!
Dear Eastside Players and Parents,

Welcome to the first installment of our Sunday Newsletter! Each Sunday we will give you a club update followed by fun, social activities, contests, and announcements. Thank you for reading and be safe!

Eastside FC
Club Update
Hello EFC,

At this point, the guidance we have from local, regional and national authorities remains consistent in practicing social distancing and limiting any non-critical interaction. As a member of this fantastic community, we encourage you to fully embrace this guidance – everyone must do their part.

Starting last week and continuing throughout the upcoming weeks, we continued the Eastside FC experience through remote coaching and individual work. All of our Eastside FC coaches remain fully engaged with their respective teams and are fully committed to continuing the development of each player regardless of age or level of play. Good things can emerge from this period of individual development. “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” – Pelé.

As we approach the end of March, we will continue to look and engage with our partner clubs in terms of future plans for April and beyond. We will update you as soon as we have more definite information.
Above all, be safe.

Warmest regards,
Mauricio Uribe
President
Social Sunday!
Starting today we will have fun activities, contests, and things to make you smile. Today's activities are...
  • Trick with a soccer ball. Creativity counts! Send in your best trick with a soccer ball along with a 30-second video of why you love Eastside FC! The EFC staff will pick 1 winner and 2 runners-up. Entry deadline will be Friday, April 3rd. Winners will be announced on Sunday, April 5th. Email your entry to media@eastsidefc.org.

Things You Can Do to Help Your Community
  • Give Blood. We realize that we must practice social distancing, but if you have the opportunity to give blood it would be a great help to our community. Two of our former players, Maddie Racine and Stephanie (deCillia) Druyos are nurses at Children's Hospital and Champions in Life! Donating would help them to help the kids they care for. Here are two links on how to give blood:

  • Support your Fellow EFC Members. It has come to our attention that we have several EFC member-owned businesses and workplaces that have been greatly affected by COVID-19. We would like to compile a list of these businesses so our members can support them. Please send the business name, website, and any pertinent information to media@eastsidefc.org and we will post them on our website. We are all in this together and any assistance we can give is greatly appreciated.
