A labor strike in Mexico, which is the primary source of Avocados this time of year, has extended into its second week of no harvesting. The situation is now an industry-wide crisis, and major product shortages will begin to be felt this week.
All grades and sizes of Avocados are affected. There will be very little, if any, fresh avocados available for purchase over the next few weeks. Ripened fruit will be nonexistent. Pricing will be extremely high on what little product is available. We recommend you avoid using until further notice.
