Official ballots have been e-mailed (via an online tool called Survey Monkey) to the "Member of Record" listed in our database for each of our member businesses who are in good standing at this time. Per our bylaws, our Chamber holds annual elections for positions on our board of directors, and the current election is for three-year terms that begin in January 2019. We have eight (8) open board seats to fill.
 
We have seven (7) incumbents running for re-election: Ron Chriss, DTE Energy; Dr. Christine Johns, Utica Community Schools; Mike Kramer, Moceri & Co. PC; Angie Lommen, BAE Systems; Brad Lukas, Beaumont-Troy; Mark Vanderpool, City of Sterling Heights and John Winter, Dawn to Dusk Cleaning Services.
 
We have two others who would also like to run for election: Bryant Goodreau, Michigan Insurance Source and Amy Persyn, First State Bank.

Gwen's closing rate wasn't looking good; she had missed quota for three consecutive quarters. She asked her manager Eileen for a little help in figuring out what she could do to improve. Among the questions Eileen asked during their one-on-one meeting was this one: "Can I take a look at your proposals?"

The answer was "Yes." After the coaching session, Gwen quickly passed along all the proposals she had put together over the past ninety days. What Eileen saw gave her pause.

CITY OF UTICA CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING SPONSORSHIP
Christmas season is around the corner.  The city of Utica preparing to make this year's Christmas Tree Lighting another event to remember.  Last year we had approximately 600 people in attendance.  It was an amazing event.
 
This year, we are hosting the Utica Christmas Tree Lighting on December 4, 2018 at the JKN Riverwalk Park (Utica Public Library).  The event will run from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

We are asking for your interest in sponsorship.  We would be very happy to have your involvement to any degree.

BRAG™ CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF SUCCESS IN 2019

The Chamber trademark referral Business Resource Alliance Group™ (BRAG™) will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. BRAG has provided a forum for Chamber members to increase their business, get to know other members, and build lasting relationships. It is one of the most powerful tools we offer to help our members improve their business revenue. What started as a few interested individuals has grown to several groups. Members meet weekly, participate in other Chamber events, and generally get connected throughout our community. There are currently 13 BRAG™ groups who meet on various days/times of the week.
